This is a totally unsolicited pitch for a contemporary novel by a friend and colleague from the now dissolved MarieStuarGroup on Yahoo. This guy is brilliant, versatile and refreshingly outspoken. He runs a tour service and expounds on talk radio. He sent me some chapters a couple of years ago. I have always been a storyteller and ‘Bricks’ is a story I’ve always wanted to tell. It’s a story of my city, Edinburgh and my country, Scotland. And I’m very proud of them. My storytelling will show you a different less glossy side to Edinburgh and Scotland. I will show you people and places that don’t normally feature in postcards. And I’m proud of them too. In the past I have; written history articles for the
Edinburgh Evening News, been a features reporter for BBC Radio Scotland, a manager at Craigmillar Castle in Edinburgh and also at the amazing Rosslyn Chapel just outside of Edinburgh. I know my city from driving buses and cabs for years and my country from being a driver/tour guide for the last ten years.
And always I have been telling stories. So now it was time for a novel. Bricks. Please enjoy it.
